SairCorp/Flight Boss Ltd :: Console Selection Guide

Console Selection Guide
This document is intended as a general guideline to aid selection of our Organizer Consoles.

If your model is not listed here, please call or email for assistance.

An Aircraft List is attached below this document

Which Organizer will fit my (Cessna) Aircraft ?
We've found a wide variance in dimensions even within the same aircraft model year. Interior Makeovers, condition and type of foam in the seating will effect the clearances. In some aircraft the inboard seat belt retainer (aluminum strap attached to the seat) can cause clearance problems. Some Pilots have removed (check with your AP or IA) these straps, the Organizer Console will retain the belt and keep it from falling on the cabin floor.
We recommend that you verify clearances to assure proper fit.

For detailed dimensional information refer to the "Organizer Dimensional Information" located in the Help section of our store.

Still not sure?
Call or Email and we'll be more than happy to personally assist you in making a selection. If our stock units won't work in your aircraft, we can modify or fabricate a custom unit for your specific needs.

Raised Gear Aircraft:
Any of our Organizer Consoles with "RG" in the Model # is intended for retractable gear aircraft. The front lower portion of the Organizer is angled to allow room for the Emergency Gear Handle. The exception to this is some of the early R-RG aircraft have the Emergency Gear Handle located in the pedestal or panel. These aircraft can use the standard Organizer Consoles without the angled front.

Cessna 172-172RG
The early 172 have had little to no room between the seats. Later years the cabin width was increased and seating reconfigured. Most of the mid 172's can use the SSM or SSM3. Clearance between the seat aprons will determine if the SSM with the 4" base can be used or not. The 90's and up have close seating with seat belt reels that can be a problem. The RG series would use the SSMRG or the SSM3RG. If you just don't have the room then look at the SFO Organizer.

Cessna 177-177RG
The majority of the 177's can use the S177 with the ARSM Armrest. They can also use the SSM3 with the AR177RG Armrest. The 177RG will use the SSM3-21-177RG with the AR177RG Armrest. The SSM3-21-177RG has a cutout for the emergency gear handle and an open bottom. Of the 3 different seats available for the Cardinal one seat doesn't allow the use of our Organizer Console. These seats have the Pilots seat back release inboard between the seats.

Cessna 182-R182
The early 182, narrow cabin can use the SSM or SSM3. Later years the cabin width was increased and seating reconfigured. Most of the mid 182's can use the SLG or SLG-5.5 while others will require the SSM or SSM-5.5. The 1996 through 2004 have close seating with seat belt reels that can be a problem, most can use the SSM-18, measure to be sure. Some of the 2004 can use a standard SSM or SSM-5.5. If you just don't have the room you may want to consider the S177 or SFO. The 2005 can use our Standard Organizers SLG, SLG-5.5, SSM and SSM-5.5. R182's will follow the same guidelines as the straight leg 182's except use the "RG" series Organizer Consoles. You may also consider the "21" inch series for additional clearance. Newer 182's with AC use thw SLG-18-AC.

Cessna 205-206
The early 20_, narrow cabin can use the SSM or SSM3. Later years the cabin width was increased and seating reconfigured. Most of the mid 20_'s can use the SLG while others will require the SSM. The 20_'s with the vent on the floor use the S206-3 or S206-4.
The Newer 206's with the extended pedestal can use the S-206-06. The S206-06AC fit newer aircraft with factory Air Conditioning. Always measure to be sure.

Cessna 210
The early 210, narrow cabin can use the SSM or SSM3. Later years the cabin width was increased and seating reconfigured. Most of the mid 210's can use the SRG or SRG-5.5 while others will require the SSMRG or SSMRG-5.5. The exception to this is some of the early 210's have the Emergency Gear Handle located in the pedestal or panel. These aircraft can use the standard Organizer Consoles without the angled front, SSM, SLG and SLG-5.5. Some of the 210's came with factory armrests. Most Pilots have removed the factory armrest and mounts to accommodate our Hinged Adjustable Armrest. PIREPS indicate our Armrest is much more comfortable, versatile, and gaining additional storage is a big plus. It also allows the use of several Organizer Accessories. Depending on your seating arrangement the SSM-21 can be used for the rear seating. Add the ARSM or AR177RG Hinged Adjustable Armrest and your passengers can ride in comfort as well as have a place for magazines, additional charts and CD's. Add our Laptop Plate and your passengers can work on a computer or the kids can watch DVD's.

Cessna 310/320
The S310 Organizer Console should fit all C-310'sand 320's. The AR310 Hinged Adjustable Armrest is designed so it can be used without the removal of the existing factory armrests. Our AR310 Armrest is more adjustable and comfortable than the stock armrests. It also allows the use of our Organizer Accessories and gives you an additional 6.25"W x 8"L x 4.25"H of storage space. We have only found a few 310's that require the factory armrest be removed to accommodate the AR310 Armrest. This was due to additional padding in the armrest from being reupholstered.

Cessna 337/P337
The earlier 337's can use the SLG due to the pump handle being on the panel. Later models can use the SRG to accommodate the pump handle on the floor. P337 drivers might prefer the SSM-21, which is 21" long.

Cessna 340/414
We have the S-340 Cabinets to fit behind the Pilots and Co-Pilots seat. Custom design and fabrication available.

Pilatus PC 12
Uses our Model SPC-12

Piper PA-32 or 34 Series      STC/PMA
Uses our Model SPA-32-34 or for Oxygen Storage use the SPA32-34-OX. Fits in the stock Piper Beverage/Convenience Console mounts. Either unit can use our standard accessories. You can easily add the Pilot, Co-Pilot hinged adjustable armrest for added comfort and convenience.
These units work equally well in either Club or Conventional Seating.
